On July 23rd, 2024 Florida Premier Basketball teamed up with a local Boys and Girls Club “The Walter Davis Branch” in East Tampa to host a Back To School Bash. We set out on a mission to show the community cares about our youth. Coach Karley Barnes called in several community members who assisted in putting together some efforts to provide school schools and equipment for the club.

We would like to thank Claire Lessinger with the Tampa Bay Sports Committee. Replay Tampa Bay Sports provided several bins of sports equipment including basketballs, football, baseballs and much more. Their team is defiantly helping keep kids in the game.

Next up we would like to thank Anthony Perez with BayFirst Banks. Mr. Perez is heavily involved with the team and wanted to do as much as he can to help our event. Perez provided school backpacks and supplies.

Next we have, Evelin Williams with Lithia Automotive group who donated several flat screens televisions of behalf of Wesley Chapel Toyota. The television will go in the several classrooms around the facility to help enhance learning while in care of the Boys and Girls Club Staff.

Next we have our food vendors Miller’s Ale House located on 3860 W Columbus Dr. Tampa, FL 33607. Miller’s general manager Jacquie jumped on the idea of providing food for the youth club members. Miller’s establishment provided over 100 meals to the club. For dessert kids indulged in special treat catered by Toffee to Go. Marissa at Toffee to Go located on 3251 W Bay to Bay Blvd Tampa, FL 33629. Marissa communicated with her boss and they were all in prepped several different dessert bar options. Lastly we will also like to owner Jackie Madsen “Queen of Sweets” for providing tasty dessert treats.

Next we have Summit Salon Academy of Tampa. The Academy stepped in and provided excellence hair services not only for the young men of the club, but the young women as well. The kids walked out of the salon area with a different smile then they walked in with. We are forever grateful for the academy.

Finally we would like to thank every individual who donated school supplies. Thank you to Brittney Garland who showed up took photos and practiced yoga with the club kids. BJ Daniels, former NFL athlete super bowl champion current director of USF Community and Alumni, who poured his dedication into the kids. Trevelin Queen, current NBA Orlando Magic athlete. Trevelin spent time shooting hoops and passing out meals to the youth members.
